Xperience Dynamics welcome new customer, The Veitchi Group on board. The company made the decision to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV and NAVcontracts, a specific construction industry solution developed by Xperience.
Established in 1917, The Veitchi Group comprises five trading companies offering a unique range of services to main contractors and end users right across the UK. The Veitchi Group has traded successfully for almost 100 years and is one of Scotland’s largest subcontractors in the construction industry.
Jim Stewart, Financial Director at Veitchi Group, explains the company’s journey with Microsoft Dynamics NAV:
“We had already chosen Dynamics NAV to help us manage our operations, however right at the start of the implementation phase we realised that the current provider wasn’t able to meet our needs so we decided to look for a Dynamics NAV partner with a proven implementation methodology.
“For us it was very important to have a close working relationship with a partner who is always available from scoping through to implementation and beyond go-live and who could guarantee continuity of staff on the project.”

“When we decided to switch providers, we spoke to a number of different companies. Ultimately, the reasons for choosing Xperience Dynamics were two-fold. Firstly their professionalism was second to none, and secondly they took time to listen and understand our business needs.
“The project itself was very professional, efficient and well-organised. There were very few surprises along the way, and Xperience dealt with everything efficiently. Prior to the go-live weekend, we were advised to upload a sub-set of our data to Microsoft Dynamics NAV to ensure the system was configured properly and that our data was clean.
“Xperience provided detailed remote and on site user training prior to go-live to ensure the system was utilised properly.
“When entering the project, we asked Xperience to minimise development – we preferred to adjust our working practices to meet Microsoft Dynamics NAV’s capabilities rather than adjust NAV to meet our way of working. Sticking to this mind-set ensured minimal complexity which guaranteed delivering project on time and on budget.
“We now have a platform which will meet our needs both now and in the future. As for Xperience, it has been a real partnership. We wanted the benefit of their reliability and expertise and that is exactly what we got. Although the project was challenging at times, there were no major issues along the way.
“The transition to Xperience from our previous partner has been an extremely smooth process. Any issues during go-live were dealt with promptly- but it is worth noting there have been no major issues encountered since go live.“
Jim concludes: “We have already started to notice the benefits to the business and are looking forward to building on our relationship with Xperience.”
