A team from ERP software firm WinMan based in Birmingham completed the National Three Peaks Challenge on the 12th June 2016, in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice. The team scaled the heights of Ben Nevis, Skafell Pike and finally Snowdon to raise a total of £1330.00.
Setting off on the 11th June, Jonathan Davies, Jonathan Wood, Nick Jacobs, Adam Kesterton and Rob Cope from WinMan conquered the Three Peaks braving the sun, wind and rain for the hospice who provide care for babies, children and young people from 0-18 with life limiting or life threatening conditions since 1988.
Jonathan Davies, Sales Director of WinMan, said: “The Three Peaks was a tough challenge but, we did it for a worthwhile cause. We chose Acorns because they provide a range of specialist care to children and young people, across the heart of England. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone that supported us and helped us reach our fundraising target.”
Annesa Hussain, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Acorns, said: “We’re so grateful to the guys from WinMan for pulling on their walking boots and taking part in this epic trek. We rely on fundraising for the £9 million it costs to provide our care every year, so the money raised will make a real difference to the children and their families we support.”
